Swimming Time!

Brian was gone a week at Airborne school and then found out that they had a 4 day weekend with Memorial Day. So he bought a plane ticket home on Thursday and flew in on Friday. Talk about a surprise!! We didn't have much time to hang at home, but it was nice to have him back for a few days. In just the week he was gone he talked about how much Kailyn had changed. We ended up getting a hotel room last night because his flight was at 7 AM and we would have to leave our house around 3:30 to get him there on time. So we thought we'd take advantage of the pool. Kailyn had a blast!! Please excuse all of her rolls. She's a little embarrassed by them! Haha!!

New Things!

We've had quite a few new things occur lately!

1. I finished my semester. Yay! It feels good to be done, but I've found myself getting bored during the day so now I think I'm going to take a summer class and try to finish my degree early!
2. Kailyn rolled over for the first time from her back to her tummy!!! She's done it the other way quite a few times but from her back to front was new today!
3. She's sitting up completely unassisted. A few times she'll topple over if she reaches too far too fast, but for the most part she catches herself.
4. She's also standing up on her own when she holds on to the couch or some other object. She's not pulling herself up, but she can stand there for a good 3-5 minutes before she decides to sit back down.
5. Brian left for Airborne School today. The army was not the best with coordinating this. It's been very frustrating for us to say the least. He was going, he wasn't, he was going, he wasn't.... They couldn't seem to find the money to send him. Yesterday they found the money and booked him a plane ticket for Friday but he was afraid he wouldn't make it to the check in on time so now he's driving. He's already on his way.

That's it for now. I'm heading back home tomorrow for a week to visit family and friends. So I'll have lots of new pictures to post when I get back next Friday. :)

Video and other things!

I just love this video of Kailyn. She's finally getting the hang of "jumping" in her jumperoo. It's so fun to watch all the new things she is learning. (So the video won't load, but it's on my facebook page.)

As for me, I have one final exam and one project left for this semester. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am really looking forward to this summer. I haven't had a break from school since last May! I hate it when things are always on my mind, such as needing to do this homework/project or what not when all I want to do is play with Kailyn!

Brian is doing pretty good. His job is really starting to get to him I think. We're both very happy that his command time is almost over. Usually people take command for two years, but he's lucky enough to only have to do it for just over a year. We have a couple of vacations planned, and I can't wait for him to leave his work behind him!! He's on call 24/7 and carries his blackberry (government issued) with him at all times. But come June 17th, he's done!!

I hope all you mothers out there had a wonderful mother's day! I had a great day. Brian woke up early and went and bought some bagels from Panera Bread. When Kailyn woke up I opened my card and gift! I got this beautiful heart necklace! I love my family so much!!!!
